Can anyone speak Italian?

September 30th, 2007

One of my pictures has turned up on the Italian blog dariodangelo, but I can’t work out the context. I’m happy for the link back though.

Have you tried just using google translate?

Bloody Google! They’ve thought of everything.

Got an email from R. She says:

I asked a friend who speaks “travelers italian” about your blog.
    Here’s the reply:

This is my ‘modified’ automatic translation from Google

I would want, for my God, to speak to my arse,
raccontargli (?) something for which it laughs,
to not only narrate the hard work
or the stupid churning of itself, the noise.

I would want, for this God, to say of the world,
for as I see it (He has made the world),
to speak about my beautiful one and his ugly one
like the oldies, down at the wharf, who are still playing.

I’ve no idea what it all means – but my Italian isn’t nearly good
    enough to translate this.

Looks like a poetry website. You’ve obviously inspired something!

I apologize me for my English: -). The translation is all right, I follow for a long time your job and that sketch is seemed me proper for to illustrate that poetry: -) Thanks :-)

I found a blog the other day that had grabbed one of my posts..and translated it (a bit poorly I’m told) into German. They took three photo’s from the post also.. I was stunned! My blogging friends visited the site and asked “how could you?” “Why didn’t you ask for permission”? etc.. and we all flagged the blog. It’s now gone. There was no link back to my blog either.

Maria, credo di aver rispettato sempre i diritti di chi pubblica :-) Se è indicato che l’opera è protetta da diritti che proibiscono la ripubblicazione io evito di riprodurla o chiedo il permesso, negli altri casi indico sempre la fonte (se disponibile). Lo stesso vale con i miei scritti che hanno tutti licenza CC :-)

    Ciao, Dario.

    Translation by Google
“Mary, I think I have always respected the rights of public :-) If it is indicated that the work is protected rights that prohibit the republication I avoid to reproduce or ask permission, in other cases always indicating the source (if available) . The same is true with my writings that all CC license”
